i forgot to add some things to my last post! first of all, if you want to visit the website of the orphanage i went to, you can find it at: www.cradleoflove.com and also, it is so COLD here! i thought i would add that in because it is totally opposite of what everyone thought. and when i say cold, i mean like, 50 degrees in the mornings and nights. but still, thats freezing when its all cloudy because of the mountains close by. i definately did not bring enough clothes!!!!! that's all!

to m.a....swahili is definately derived from arabic. it was originally written in all arabic script until it was switched to latin script. most of the words were formed from arabic, such as tafadhali=thank you. kangas are also worn around here. they are bery colorful and come in twos with methali, or proverbs, written along the bottoms of them. i bought a few and am going to bring them home. to mom, the kids in the center are newborns to two year old children. after two, they are usually either placed with a family through adoption or are moved to another orphanage facility, i think. i am supposed to meet and talk with the owner sometime soon so i can find out more. anyway, time to go fanya some kazi. love you all and will post soon!
